  2. Nicht erschrecken, "Rocket Ride" ist ein klasse Album von Edguy. Lediglich der ein oder andere Chorus könnte von Poison/Skid Row etc. eingesungen worden sein. Mit "Power-Metal" hat die Scheibe aber nichts mehr zu tun. Mit dem Mid-Tempo Stück a la Savatage "Sacrifice" fängt das Album stark an. Mit "Rocket Ride", "Matrix", "Out of Vogue" u/5(66).

  3. Even the eight-minute opening "Sacrifice" is nowhere near as somber as it sounds, regardless of the majestic wall of synthesizers backing its metallic riffery. Along with the rest of Rocket Ride, this makes it almost impossible to laugh at Edguy instead of with them, and that feat in 7/

  5. Edguy's problem remains the same: Tobias Sammet writes a couple of strong songs, and the rest of the disk space is taken by the worse material. It was on the previous disc "Hellfire Club", and it is happened with "Rocket Ride". So it turns out that the excellent things like "Matrix" and "Superheroes" are coexist with a boring happy-power.
